NEK Together

This year there will be no breakout sessions - we’re keeping the focus on being together as one region. Help set the Collaborative’s work for 2026, including NEK Day at the Statehouse, January 22nd. This is the only time each year when folks from across the NEK come together to focus solely on the NEK.

Date: Tuesday, Nov 18

Right now, many families in our area are facing food insecurity. Your contribution to our food drive can make a real difference. We've partnered with NEKCA to collect non-perishable food items at NEK Together to help restock local food pantries and provide meals for those in need.

The best items to donate are:

  • peanut butter,

NEK at the Statehouse

Each year, the NEK Collaborative gathers citizens and professionals to meet with policymakers, representatives and Vermont senators to communicate the trials of the Northeast Kingdom, as well as to advocate for its proposed solutions. The NEK Day at the Statehouse is most notably an opportunity for NEK residents to connect with legislators and affect policy & funding decisions.

Sector Convenings

The beating heart of the NEKC are our sector convenings, in which we gather professionals, industry leaders and driven citizens to discuss areas of concern for the Northeast Kingdom. This can include housing, equity, outdoor recreation and education- but is by no means limited to these.

From these sector convenings, we at the Collaborative can identify regional struggles informed directly from the experiences of NEK citizens, as well as distill and advocate for actionable solutions through this same region based, citizen-informed structure.
